Leaving pounds in the past

Article Abstract:

A man from a family of overweight people who enjoyed food found that at age 30, he was not only embarrassed by his 300 lbs, but his blood pressure was escalating. His progress from yo-yo-diets to successfully losing 125 lbs with an 18-month vegetarian diet, daily walks, and a food log, is described.

Kick start to a new life

Article Abstract:

A middle-aged high school principal describes the experience of studying one of the martial arts, tae kwon do. The class was physically intimidating at first but eventually the adjustment was made, weight was lost, arthritis and back problems disappeared, and mental strength and energy were gained.
