Letter from Aventura: Louisiades

Article Abstract:

A cruiser recounts his experiences aboard Aventura III in the island of Panasia, an uninhabited speck in the Calvados Chain in the Louisiade Archipelago with a cluster of islets in the southeastern Papua New Guinea. The cruisers are given a warm welcome by the people of these islands, which have beautiful sandy beaches and lot of anchorages.

Letter from Aventura: Musings from paradise evolved

Article Abstract:

The disadvantages of GPS (global positioning system) in French Polynesia during a cruise journey, is that the problem is compounded when used in conjunction with the autopilot, and the navigator relied slavishly on both. Also, French Polynesia, as a tourist attraction has diminished in time.

Cuban cruise becomes bureaucratic morass

Article Abstract:

A cruiser takes a detour to Cuba while on the tour to the Carribbean on Aventura III. Visiting cruiser boats in Cuba have to proceed to an international marina. The wind was very strodng and after several attacks, the cruise passed within one mile of the entrance into Bahia de Guantanamo.
