Level ground and uphill cycling ability in professional road cycling

Article Abstract:

Studies show that time trial cyclists have performance advantages over other types of cyclists. In comparisons with all terrain, flat terrain and uphill cycling specialists, time trial specialists possessed better performance capabilities in different types of terrain than did the other specialists. Physiological thresholds were designated according to maximal power output, blood lactate accumulation and oxygen uptake.
