Long time coming

Article Abstract:

Spangler finally achieved her goal of qualifying for a spot on the US Olympic team as a marathon runner by placing first at the Olympic trials in Columbia, SC. Her quest to become an Olympian began in 1983 as a high school athlete in the small town of Rockford, IL.
