Mapping two new points on the tennis expertise continuum: Tactical skills of adult advanced beginners and entry-level professionals during competition

Article Abstract:

The problem representations of adult advanced beginners and entry-level professionals accessed during singles tennis competition are examined. The results have shown that entry-level professionals displayed more advanced problem representations than advanced beginners regardless of the interview type.

Decision boundaries and receiver operating characteristic curves: New methods for determining accelerometer cutpoints

Article Abstract:

The utility of an alternative method like decision boundaries is evaluated for establishing physical activity intensity-related accelerometer cutpoints. The analysis has shown that decision boundaries reduced the error associated with determining accelerometer threshold values.

Effects of acute exercise on executive processing, short-term and long-term memory

Article Abstract:

The effects of acute bouts of exercise on young adults' executive processing skills, short-term and long-term memory are investigated. Results reveal that exercise has specific impact on long-term memory consolidation.
