Micronesia offers one of the best dive spots in the world which are characterized by wrecks of World War II, drift dives and encounters with big animals. Among the recommended spots are the Marshall Islands, Truk and Palau. For big animal encounters, the island of Yap is where mantas can be found in abundance. Battleship enthusiasts are recommended to go diving in Truk as the place is the site of one of the fiercest naval encounters between the US and Japan. For non-divers, Micronesia offers various diversions such as guided tours in museums and cultural spots.

Curacao

One of the Caribbean's best dive spots that offer modern amenities, clear waters and spectacular dive spots is Curacao. Like its counterparts Aruba and Bonaire, Curacao offers great wreck dives, virgin tracts of reefs and scores of beautiful fishes. The better shore dives could be found in the northern portion of Curacao while the south is ideal for boat diving. For divers seeking more privacy, Klein Curacao has pristine sites that beckon to divers after a one-and-a-half hour of travel from the southern resorts.

Article Abstract:
Micronesia is a dream come true for many scuba divers because of its diverse array of wrecks, reefs and marine life. The many diving destinations and lodging accommodations in the region are described. These include those in Palau, the Kosrae and Pohnpei islands in the Federated States of Micronesia, Northern Marianas, and Marshall Islands. Tips on the best dives in the region are also presented.
