Curtains for celluloid

Article Abstract:

Celluloid is heavy and deteriorates over time, so costs of distributing motion pictures could be cut by using high speed networks or satellites, with hard disks used for storage. Two types of digital projectors have been released, and they used technology involved in smaller projectors. Texas Instruments has developed its digital light processing projector, while image light amplification is used by the Hughes-JVC projector. Cinnecomm Digital Cinema supports the Hughes-JVC system which it aims to lease to motion picture theaters.
