Muscle plasticity after weight and combined (weight + jump) training

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to compare the effects of jump training as a complement to weight training on jump performance and muscle strategy during the squat and counter movement jump. It is suggested that the central activities in knee joint during the transition phase, in conjunction with intrinsic muscle contractile properties, play a major role in the regulation of performance during a counter movement jump (CMJ).

Simulation of biceps femoris musculotendon mechanics during the swing phase of sprinting

Article Abstract:

Muscle-actuated forward dynamic simulations that are used to investigate musculotendon mechanics of the biceps femoris long head during the swing phase of sprinting are described. Muscle-actuated forward dynamics simulation provides a powerful approach for studying biomechanical factors that can contribute to the occurrence of hamstring musculotendon injuries.

Central and peripheral contributions to fatigue after electrostimulation training

Article Abstract:

The effect of 4 week and 8 week of neuromuscular electrical stimulation training on both endurance time and mechanisms contributing to task failure is examined. It was concluded that the endurance time was shorter after 4 and 8 week of neuromuscular electrical stimulation training and was associated with higher absolute contraction intensity.
