Sport statistics include the fact that running back Walter Payton gained an average of 1,216 yards a season over the 13 years he played in the NFL, and that three runners, Thurman Thomas, Barry Sanders, and Emmitt Smith, have a chance to break his record. This and other statistics are presented.
