The total prize money for the 1997 Senior PGA Tour is $41.4 mil and many golfers feel that this money angle has changed the the tour for the fans. Instead of a few nostalgic tours a year, it has become a gigantic money-making machine for players and an entertainment vehicle for sponsors.
