Stratton Mountain, VT, is one of the few ski areas in the nation that offers on-mountain emergency medical facilities. The Carlos Otis clinic likens itself to a MASH unit because of the many skiers who are brought in with injuries by helicopter. The clinic has been operating since the 1940s.
