The prodigious tides along the shallow waters and long stretch, more than 100 miles, north of Brisbane pose greater threat than the rich wildlife, which shoulders the people and wanders through the towns. Fraser Island, thought to be world's largest sand island, proved to be an ideal playground for Typhena, due to its shallow water and sandy landscape.
