Onward and downward: a lifetime of exploring the planet's oceans begins with a single dive

Article Abstract:

The first experience underwater of marine scientist Dr Sylvia Earle has evolved into a lifetime of exploration and wonder. The capacity to breath underwater through the use of certain specialized equipment provides anyone the urge to explore the underwater world even further. This is manifested by the increasing number of people becoming certified divers.
