Article Abstract:

The carbohydrates in pasta may raise insulin levels in overweight people and cause them to store more fat. High insulin levels may also hinder athletes' performance. However, research has not proven that pasta is harmful. Runners should eat a low-fat, low-calorie diet that includes complex carbohydrates.
