Physiological and psychometric variables for monitoring recovery during tapering for major competition

Article Abstract:

Chronic exercise training effects on immune function

Article Abstract:

Prolonged, intense exercise training may impair the immune system. This can explain the high rate of upper respiratory tract infections in endurance athletes. Moderate exercise has no serious effect on the immune system and may even stimulate it.
