Please pass the butter: skipping the fat may save your sight

Article Abstract:

Research links saturated fat consumption with greater risk of developing age-related macular degeneration, early degeneration of the the retina. A survey of over 2,000 people indicated that those who consumed the most saturated fat had an 80% greater chance of developing the condition than those who ate the least.

Old pills, new hopes: now aspirin many help esophagus

Article Abstract:

A survey of more than 14,000 people revealed that aspirin use may be associated with a 90% decrease in the risk of developing esophageal cancer. The survey questions were too broad to determine the dose of aspirin associated with the benefits.
