Pucker up for a healthier heart

Researchers reveal that increasing the level of HDL cholesterol lowers the risk of heart disease especially among the women. The use of cranberries, oat bran, soy protein, almonds, dark chocolates and orange juice as well as exercising and quitting on smoking are helpful in improving the HDL standard.

A product called Enova is touted as the first cooking and salad oil that keeps you away from increase in weight. Enova, which is developed in Japan, is chemically altered blend of canola and soybean oil turns into fuel when digested. A long-term consumption of Enova produces side effects.

Is Calcium the Key to Strong Bones?

Women can reduce the risk of osteoporosis by eating more calcium and eating less sodium. A high-sodium diet increase the excretion of calcium in the urine, so researchers recommend moderating sodium intake and getting 1500 mg of calcium every day.
