Quick drivetrain clean and lube

A bicycle's drivetrain should be maintained in a good working condition by aregular monthly cleaning. The chain should be removed from the chainring which is then brushed to remove accreted dirt and grease. The pedlas and chain should also be wiped with a rag and sprayed with a lubricant.

Steel-frame bicycles repair occasional touch-ups to prevent rust. Removing rust with fine sandpaper is more important to the life of the bike than color matching. Acetone can be used to clean the area, and metal enamel usually works well.
