Rating the cholesterol busters: if you're cholesterol's on the rise but drugs seem extreme, should you turn to one of the alternatives in the health food store?

Article Abstract:

Health food store dietary supplements make claims for lowering cholesterol, but the claims have not been proven scientifically. The challenge is to understand what these products can and cannot do. In some cases, natural supplements are not always safe if consumed the wrong way. Some of the leading products include the Finnish margarine Benecol, soy protein, garlic and tocotrienol.
