Reliability and validity of a 2-D video digitizing system during static and a dynamic task

Article Abstract:

The reliability and validity of the SMART software during a simple static task and dynamic task is assessed. SMART system offers a low-cost alternative for reporting single-plane kinematics during an individual frame of video during static stances and slow dynamic task with strong reliability and reasonable validity.

The effect of textured insoles on postural control in double and single limb stance

Article Abstract:

A study compares the impact of textured insoles on postural control in double and single limb stance. The results indicate that increased afferent information from textured insoles improves postural control during bilateral stance but not during unilateral stance.

Influence of foot type and orthotics on static and dynamic postural control

Article Abstract:

The effects of custom-molded foot orthotics on postural control in subjects with different foot types are examined. Correlation is found between custom orthotics and the improvements in the static and dynamic postural control in subjects with cavus feet.
