Article Abstract:
The dhow is still an effective means of coastline sea transport from Lamu to Mombasa in Kenya. The dhow is of Chinese design and has been adapted by local shipbuilders for transporting cargo. While lacking in many modern boat amenities, the Kenyan dhow is still seaworthy.
