Rifles and Runs: Delaware River flows

Article Abstract:

The stakeholders, economic, ecological, and political 'water buffaloes' are reaching a compromise that gives the Delaware River a chance to become the greatest trout stream in the East. The fundamental aims regarding the flow management of the upper Delaware are that the East's best trout fishery must be maintained at the healthiest level possible within the holistically sound river ecosystem that serves the realistic and responsible water needs of the region.

Sound predators

Article Abstract:

Fish predators are species, which hunt by the sound, smell, as well as sight, and fishermen design their flies to take advantage of the sophisticated sound system. The new developing fly-tying materials offers unlimited possibilities in watery sound creation, both in flies which are aerodynamically efficient yet push water loudly and elicit a predatory kill response.
