Examining the relationships among concepts of control and exercise attendance

Article Abstract:

Self-handicapping in structured and unstructured exercise: toward a measurable construct

Article Abstract:

Three studies showing the developmental stages of self-presentation strategy in exercise contexts (Self-Handicapping Exercise Questionnaire: SHEQ) have been discussed in detail. First is a pilot study used to determine the nature of the phenomenon of self-handicaps, the second is the item-creation/item-trimming model and the third is the factorial and cross validation of the self-handicaps.
