Short-term effects of exercise on plasma very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) and fatty acids

Article Abstract:

Moderate exercise may lead to an eventual decrease in very low density lipoproteins (VLDL). This effect is not immediately apparent, however. Researchers compared the release of various free fatty acids (FFA) during and after exercise in 80 healthy men to 80 men who rested in bed. VLDL concentrations were lower 4.5 hours after the exercise period. The elevated FFA levels found during testing remained elevated for hours. Exercise may affect free fatty acids in different ways.

Effects of posture on left ventricular diastolic filling during exercise

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to examine whether exercise has any effect on the left ventricular filling by comparing changes in transmitral filling velocity between supine and upright ergometer exercise. Results show that early rapid-filling wave to atrial-filling ratio was greatly influenced by posture and exercise intensity.
