A top ApHC trainer and judge helps guide ones horse through the showmanship pattern and making it stand perfectly square. Some of the guidelines include moving promptly and fluidly around him without exaggerating stance and standing tall with shoulders squared and pleasant expression and maintaining eye contact.

One should show his best performance in front of the judge at the Show Pen and avoid disrespectful, cruel or dangerous actions at the show.
