One 49 Classic owned by a working couple is customized for weekend cruising and an annual extended trip. Another 49 Classic owned by a retiree is used for long cruises to distant ports and is customized for such use. Both yachts were customized by the Oxford Yacht Agency.

Swood 82
Article Abstract:
The Little Harbor Marine has transformed a Swan 76 ketch into a Swood 82 model by remodeling the boat's foredeck, helm, naval station and saloon. This remodeling project resulted in a boat with a larger headroom and a longer hull.

Treading on teak

Prefabricated decks of Burma teak are available for yacht remodeling projects. The decks can be installed over any existing material and cost $75 to $100 per square foot.
