Sources of sport confidence of master athletes

Article Abstract:

The sources of sport confidence and their relationship to trait sport confidence with maser athletes are examined. Physical/mental preparation and mastery were the highest ranked sources among the athletes and a simultaneous multiple regression analysis indicated that physical/mental preparation and demonstration of ability were significant predictors of trait sport confidence for master athletes.

The "Hot Hand" myth in professional basketball

Article Abstract:

A new study designed in view of the criticisms in earlier researches, to detect a hot hand specially a basketball player, is presented. It is observed that hotness in basketball is best viewed as historical commentary rather than as divination about future performance.

Emotional reaction of varsity athletes to sport-related concussion

Article Abstract:

Profile Of Moods States (POMS) that assessed baseline emotions among college athletes is discussed. It was found that Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI) group showed significant post injury depression and confusion, which was not seen in other groups.
