Sparing the rod

Article Abstract:

Law does not prohibit fishing during spawning season from a river, which is under catch, and release regulation. It is suggested that concerned sportsmen should realize that there are times when merely sticking to the letter of the law may not be enough and that the health of the sport and their own self-respect impose stricter standards.

The silent treatment

Article Abstract:

Midway-through turkeys season, where many a turkey-hunter would be driven to desperation by the absence of any response to his call. A true story of how such a silence from the bird, drove a mad turkey hunter resort to some desperate tactics, that ultimately proved fruitless, is narrated.
