Status of the 'Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology,' 1985-1990

Article Abstract:

The Journal of Sports and Exercise Psychology has maintained its position a respected scholarly periodical in its field between 1985 and 1990. An analysis of the submissions for that period demonstrates that changes in methodology and article concepts are occurring very slowly. Innovative techniques are lacking, but the changes reflect an increasing sophistication in conventional method. The editorial procedures and a classification of topics, authors and methodology are presented.
