Stop Stress Where It Lives

Article Abstract:

Yoga can be beneficial in fighting stress. Most people think that only flexible and limber people can benefit from yoga excercises, but this is not always the case. Beginner classes like those offered by Rodney Yee offer a good introduction to yoga. Beginners can take heart in that the goal of yoga is not to be able to twist the body in crazy ways, but to develop an awareness of the body and to challenge its limitations.

Women need to relieve stress in ways different than men, and one of the best behaviors they have at their disposal is called tend and befriend. Such maternal and social behavior may be rooted in hormones that are produced, and the coping mechanisms of taking care of their families and friends and meeting with friends helps relieve their stress.
