Stroke, don't pop

Article Abstract:

The putting stroke in golf is often played as a 'popping' stroke with a shorter backstroke and a longer follow-through. This often hinders distance control, so it is better to have a stroke where the backstroke accounts for 60% of the length of the motion, and the follow-through for 40%.
