Sweet revenge: what if someone discovered a sugar that couldn't make you fat?

Article Abstract:

Tagatose is a sweetener made from the lactose in whey. All calories from it are burned immediately in the body and are not stored as fat. Biospherics of Maryland is now developing the sweetener in the hopes that approval will come from the Food and Drug Administration.
