T-shirt matters

Article Abstract:

A marathon runner who usually finishes midpack, muses on the etiquette of t-shirt wearing during a marathon. Some things are too gauche to do such as wearing a finisher shirt when one did not finish the run. Shirts which make statements are good, unless the statement is one of tasteless bravado.

Article Abstract:

Journalists cover events that have happened, therefore live mostly in the past, but runners must live in the future and continually look ahead. Methods used by one journalist/runner to look ahead include running during the first light of day, and training for upcoming marathons.
