Taste for living: does a boring diet limit your life span?

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that people who tend to eat the same types of foods day after day tend to have shorter lifespans than people who regularly include many different kinds of foods in their diets. People who maintain limited diets tend to eat fewer fruits and vegetables, good sources of antioxidants.

Research indicates that multiple marriages and pregnancies seem to protect women against breast cancer. Researchers believe that women develop antibodies to sperm and to the children they carry. The findings could lead to the development of vaccines against breast cancer.

Research indicates that yohimbine, made from the bark of the West African Pausinystalia yohimbe tree, is effective in treating narcolepsy. Seven of eight narcoleptics given the drug were able to stay awake for an eight-hour stretch.
