The White River: this queen of tailwaters holds the king of trout

Portions of the White River in Missouri and Arkansas are home to large trout. These portions are the tailwaters that are below dams on the river. Fishing on the river is described.

Trout after dark

Tagging and radio-tracking studies show that the biggest brown trout feed during the first and last hours of darkness. A review of the tackle and safety concerns for nighttime angling is proved.
