The Fed Cup is the women's version of the Davis Cup. The Fed Cup competition was held in the Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ. Organizers of the two-day weekend competition were disappointed since only about 5,000 spectators attended.

The U.S. regroups for relegation

The US will have to play a relegation tennis match in Sep 1993 because it lost its first-round competition in Mar 1993 against Australia. The US team will have to win to continue as a member of the 16-country World Group.
