The curvature constant parameter of the power-duration curve for varied-power exercise

Article Abstract:

Results demonstrate that ergometry curvature constant of the high-intensity cycle exercise is unaffected by power variations in the power output range of 100-134% of critical power. Data do not indicate significant differences between curvature constant and the total work output above the critical power during a step-up of the work rate.

Strength increase after whole-body vibration compared with resistance training

Article Abstract:

Results point out that whole-body vibration and the accompanying reflexive muscle contraction it generates can facilitate strength gain in knee exteriors of untrained females. Data indicate that this effect equals that can be gained by resistance training.

CNS fatigue and prolonged exercise: effect of glucose supplementation

Article Abstract:

Results indicate that central nervous system fatigue activation results from exercise-induced hypoglycemia, while central activation is unaffected in edurance trained athletes maintaining euglycemia with carbohydrate ingestion.
