Statistics showing the number of deer hunters in relation to the deer population in the late 1990s are presented, with focus on the declining number of hunters and the need to manage the population growth of deer.

Bobcats are increasing in number in many states and autumn 2000 should see hunting occur in Pennsylvania for the first time in thirty years. These predators avoid people, but are a threat to other wildlife.
