The 1999 GMC Yukon/Yachting Key West Race Week was participated in by 274 boats. The boat owners who won in the competition were John Thomson and Pete du Pont. Among the amateurs who also won were Irvine Laidlaw and Brian Porter while Waldek Zaleski was the surprise winner.
