The effects of caffeine in women during aerobic-dance bench stepping

Article Abstract:

The study was conducted to evaluate the severe influence of a single dose of caffeine intake on physiological responses during aerobic-dance bench stepping (ADBS) routine performed for general fitness and body weight management in women. It was observed that a single dose of caffeine had no measurable effect on the physiological responses to ADBS and does not make ADBS feel easier interfere with monitoring exercise intensity nor does it enhance the energy usage.

Awareness and use of caffeine by athletes competing at the 2005 Ironman Triathlon World Championships

Article Abstract:

A study was carried out with the aim of finding out the use of caffeine within a group of athlete competing at a major international event namely the 2005 Ironman Triathlon World Championships. The post race follow-up is considered essential in order to ensure the accuracy of information collected in a research because athletes have a tendency to consume doses of caffeine that are not likely to result in urinary value above the cut-off limit.

Physiological and cognitive responses of caffeine during repeated high-intensity exercise

Article Abstract:

The effects of caffeine on repeated anaerobic exercise were investigated using a double-bind, randomized, crossover design. Results showed that caffeine had no ergogenic effect on repeated, maximal cycling bouts and may be detrimental to anaerobic performance.
