Positioning the eyes directly over the target line is essential for consistent aim when putting. Laser-light alignment devices, putting tracks or help from a friend can aid a golfer in learning to recognize proper alignment.

The chiputt

Using the chiputt technique allows a golfer to view the distance to the hole as he would a longer shot. The stance is very straight and the golfer views the distance with his head upright instead of sideways.
