The impact of metabolic stress on hormonal responses and muscular adaptations

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to examine the impact of exercise-induced metabolic stress on hormonal responses and chronic muscular adaptations. The results suggest that exercise-induced metabolic stress is associated with acute growth hormone, epinephrine and norepinephrine responses and chronic muscular adaptations following resistance training.

Article Abstract:

Research reveals a differential response between post concentric and eccentric exercise hormonal responses. Concentric exercise increases growth hormone levels higher than eccentric exercise. However, both type of exercises elicit similar enhancement in testosterone and free testosterone.

Hormonal responses after various resistance exercise protocols

Article Abstract:

Results show that the amount of exercise does stimulate hormonal levels up to a point to adapt to muscular hypertrophy and strength endurance exercise protocols but not in case of maximum strength protocol. Data indicate that exercise protocols establish distinct hormonal responses.
