Letters of comfort
Article Abstract:
How letters of comfort are constructed will determine whether or not they are enforceable. Courts look for promissory terms, they will not reject letters for containing uncertain terms. A presumption of intent to assume legal obligations exists for letters of comfort, but it has not been invoked in some cases and is not always upheld by the courts. Liability for misleading or deceptive conduct can also be raised for letters of comfort.

A class of a flame-retardants known as PBDE ( Polybrominated diphenyl ethers) is voluntarily phased out in Japan 10 years back. It cannot be seen, Smelled, or tasted but it surrounds in the air. Recent studies detected PBDE in indoor and outdoor air, house and office, dust and even in remote Arctic regions.
