The shore thing

Article Abstract:

Two types of shore lunches, which would benefit fishermen interested in packing and preparing their own midday meal, are described. The recipes for the legendary 'Thousand Islands Shore Lunch,' first cooked up by fishing guides on the U.S.-Canada border along the upper St.Lawrence River in the 1890s and the 'Bush Lunch,' a quicker, easy alternative, especially on camping-fishing trips without the benefit of refrigeration, ice chests, or guides, are given.
