The swing within: correct your full-swing faults by mastering the mechanics of the pitch shot

Article Abstract:

A golfer must master the full swing through practice, and this will help correct other faults. Practicing the short pitch shot will help the golfer become skilled in tee shots also. Illustrated instructions provided include swing path drills, sand play, follow-through, tee drills, and clubface position.

Opposing views on how to start a golf swing properly are given by two teaching professionals. Mike McGetrick advocates that it is best to start the golf swing slowly to allow better control. John Gerring believes that tempo, not speed, is the key to a good golf swing.
