Postpartum depression (PPD) is a serious condition that many new mothers experience. Symptoms of PPD may include unshakable sadness, emptiness and feelings of helplessness. Some forms of PPD include ordinary depression, postpartum obssessive-compulsive disorder and postpartum psychosis.
