Many people think that a cholesterol reading of 200 is safe, but only a reading of 150 or below is in the safety area. However, a higher reading can be considered safe if the total-to-high-density lipoprotein is at a ratio below four. The use of exercise and a low-fat diet can help achieve this goal.
