Which club in sand?

Article Abstract:

Golfers should not use only one sand wedge for all sand shots. A better technique is to use several different clubs and one type of swing. The swing involves laying the club face wide open; aiming slightly to the left; and making a smooth, three-quarter-length swing.

When to cheat

Article Abstract:

On short breaking putts, it is suggested that golfers "cheat" or move the ball's address position along the putterface. Putter twisting at impact reduces the ball's speed and starts the ball rolling off-line.

The finer points of chipping strategy

Elements of effective chip shots include a square clubface, ball position opposite the back ankle and a low-lofted shot. Shots should be directed towards hollows in the green and away from humps.
