Multisensor data fusion

Article Abstract:

Multisensor data fusion (MSDF) relates to the process of combining data from multiple sensors to generate a description of the environment within which they are operating. Artificial sensor systems have been developed that combine multisensor data, and there is much interest in multisensor data fusion as an integral process. An overview of the fusion area is provided with examples of established methods and their limitations, along with proposed solutions and new developments.
