Getting ENCs to the market

Article Abstract:

It is required that a country with a coastline produce its own electronic navigational charts (ENCs). There are only two regional ENC coordination centers, one located in Taunton, UK and the other in Stavanger, Norway, charged with ensuring world ENCs are made available to mariners. Details on costs and distributions of ENCs are discussed.

Raster charts and electronic navigational charts of areas within the US Economic exclusion Zone are available for download with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Details on this service and its advantages and disadvantages are discussed.
